Calgary to Apache Junction,AZ Jan. 13-17th

Jan. 13th

After a busy three weeks with family and friends we were off to the airport at 8:15 am (thanks Rob). Our three hour flight to Phoenix left just after 11:00am. A one hour drive by Super Shuttle
to Apache Junction and we are back to our RV Park at 4 pm.
Our friends Harry and Thea welcomed us back to a sunny 72 Deg. F. The 4 of us had happy hour and then supper at the Feed Bag Restaurant.

Jan.14th

We unpacked and did some grocery shopping. Ralph got diesel for $2.25 per US gallon.
We relaxed and enjoyed the 72 Deg. F. temperature.

Jan.15th

Beautiful 78 Deg. F. We both had a pedicure and I had a nail fill $20.00 each. We went to the pool for a swim and hot tub--our RV site is across from the pool.
We invited Thea and Harry for happy hour.

Jan. 16th

At 11am we went to the Organ Stop Pizza with over 100 people from Golden Sun RV Resort.
We had a pizza buffet and were entertained for two hours by an organist playing a 4 million $ Wurlitzer pipe organ(one of 4 in the US). Tasty pizza and great music.
Another beautiful sunny day 78 Deg.F. We booked for another month at Golden Sun RV Resort.
We went to the Friday night dance with Harry and Thea(7:30 to 10:30pm) $4.oo each BYOB
Ray and Jane sang and everyone danced.

Jan.17th

We spent 4 hours at the Mesa Swap Meet. We purchased a redwood sign with our names on it to hang on our 5th wheel. Crowds of people on this warm 80 DEg.F. day.
Surprise! we bumped into Mike and Rosemarie Davidson (from Calgary) at the Market.
We enjoyed the rest of the day in the sun.

Well, it might be 72 where you are, but we continue to enjoy our +10 C in Calgary. We am jealous about the name sign for the trailer. Please take a photo of it and post it. we'd love to see it. We have been looking for something as well but no luck yet. If we like it, would it be possible for you to order one for us?

We went to Stage West last night to see One Hit Wonders with our friends Rick and Carol and all had a wonderful time.

Bye for now, Carol and Sid
